Minh Phuong attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Hai Phong international gateway port project.

Afternoon 12/5, in Hai Phong, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc start the groundbreaking ceremony 2 docks of the Hai Phong component B international gateway port project (also known as Hai Phong international container terminal).

This is the first project for the development of deepwater seaport systems in the north Viet Nam, by the Corporation Saigon Newport, partners Molnykit Japan and Hai Phong international container port Ltd company in the form of implementing cooperation public-private partnership (PPP) under the guidelines of the Government of Vietnam and Japan.

The Prime Minister also asked the Ministry of Transport to direct the project management unit of maritime to perform and ensure the plan of the hai Phong component A international gateway port operating in 2018 . Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc believe, when an Hai Phong international gateway port in operating will promote economic development of Hai Phong and the country.

Hai Phong international container terminal (HICT) will be the first deep-water port in the north, receive container ships and ship with 100,000 DTW tonnage activities on the sea, not only meet the demand for import and export customers in the North but also as an important connection point for deep-water port at Cai Mep - Thi Vai, lets exports of Vietnam goods to go straight to the European market , Americas.

Hai Phong international container terminals in operation will motivate development of deep-water seaport system and logistics operations in Lach Huyen.
